1. Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Sorton Technology Co., Ltd ("Sorton", "we", "us", or "our"). They apply to sortonai.com and Sorton mobile applications distributed as Android APK files, through Google Play, or through the Apple App Store. By accessing a service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you.
2. License and permitted use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for lawful, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable platform rules.
- Do not copy, sell, sublicense, rent, distribute, reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not bypass security, advertising, payment, access, or usage controls; introduce malicious code; scrape the service; interfere with other users; or use the service unlawfully.
- Do not misrepresent affiliation with Sorton or use our names, logos, interface, or content without permission.
3. Weather and informational content
Forecasts, alerts, maps, air-quality readings, and other information may come from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. They are provided for general information and everyday planning only. Do not rely on a Sorton app as your sole source for emergency, aviation, marine, medical, agricultural, or other safety-critical decisions. Follow official warnings and instructions from local authorities.
4. Advertising
Free versions of our apps may display first-party or third-party advertising. Ads may be contextual or personalized where permitted by law and your privacy choices. We do not endorse every advertised product or service and are not responsible for third-party offers, websites, purchases, or representations. Advertisers and advertising providers may apply their own terms and privacy policies.
5. In-app purchases and subscriptions
An app may offer one-time purchases, consumable items, subscriptions, ad-free access, or premium features. Prices, billing periods, free trials, renewal terms, and included features will be shown before purchase. Purchases are processed by Google Play, Apple, or another disclosed authorized channel, and you also agree to that channel's payment terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the applicable store account settings before the store's renewal deadline. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Except where required by law, refunds are governed and processed by the platform that handled the transaction. We may change future prices or paid features with notice required by the platform or applicable law.
6. Android APK and app-store distribution
Only download Android APK files from sortonai.com or another source we expressly identify. You are responsible for checking device compatibility and maintaining appropriate device security. Modified or unofficial packages are not supported. Apps obtained from Google Play or the Apple App Store are also subject to the applicable store's terms, review rules, licensing conditions, and refund procedures. If store terms conflict with these Terms, the store terms control only to the extent required for your use of that store.
7. Third-party services and links
The service may rely on or link to weather-data providers, maps, advertising networks, analytics services, payment platforms, app stores, and other third parties. We do not control their services and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, or practices. Your use of them may be governed by separate terms.
8. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and arrangement, is owned by Sorton Technology Co., Ltd or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation, subject to applicable law.
9. Updates, availability, and termination
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of a service, including free or paid features, when reasonably necessary for security, legal, technical, or business reasons. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms or create risk or harm. You may stop using the service at any time; store subscriptions must be cancelled separately.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free forecasts and alerts.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sorton and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, revenue, profit, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the registered location of Sorton Technology Co., Ltd, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Disputes should first be raised with us in good faith. We may update these Terms and will post the revised version and effective date on sortonai.com. Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
