This Privacy Policy explains how Sorton Technology Co., Ltd ("Sorton", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you visit sortonai.com or use a Sorton mobile application distributed as an Android APK, through Google Play, or through the Apple App Store. Individual apps may provide an additional in-app notice where their data practices differ.
2. Information we collect
- Location information, including approximate or precise location, only when needed for location-based features and after device permission is granted.
- Device and technical information such as device model, operating system, language, time zone, app version, IP address, network status, crash logs, and diagnostics.
- App activity and usage information such as screens viewed, feature interactions, session duration, referring source, and advertising interactions.
- Advertising identifiers, including Android Advertising ID or Apple advertising identifiers where available and permitted.
- Purchase and entitlement information supplied by Google Play or Apple, such as product identifier, transaction status, subscription status, and purchase token. We do not receive or store full payment card details.
- Information voluntarily sent to us, including support messages and any email address or attachments included with them.
3. How we use information
- Provide forecasts, alerts, personalization, purchased features, customer support, and other requested app functions.
- Display, measure, limit, and improve contextual or personalized advertising where legally permitted and consented to.
- Process and verify in-app purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and maintain access to paid content.
- Analyze performance, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, develop features, protect users, and enforce our Terms of Use.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.
4. Advertising and third-party services
Our apps may be supported by advertising. Advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, weather-data, and store-service providers may process device information, IP address, app activity, approximate location, and advertising identifiers under their own privacy policies. The exact partners used by an app may be listed in its store disclosure or in-app privacy notice.
Where required, we request consent before personalized advertising. You can withdraw consent through in-app privacy settings when available, reset or limit your advertising identifier in device settings, or use Apple App Tracking Transparency controls. You may still see contextual or non-personalized ads.
5. In-app purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the platform from which you obtained the app, such as Google Play or Apple. Those platforms control payment information and apply their own privacy policies. We receive only the records needed to confirm the purchase, provide the paid feature, prevent fraud, and support restoration or account inquiries.
6. When we share information
We may share information with service providers that operate app infrastructure, advertising, analytics, attribution, diagnostics, customer support, weather data, and payment entitlement services on our behalf; with authorities when required by law; or in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets. We do not sell personal information for money. Certain personalized advertising disclosures may be treated as a sale or sharing under some laws, and eligible users may opt out by contacting us or using available privacy controls.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution needs. Retention periods differ by data type and service provider. You can deny or revoke location, notification, and tracking permissions in device settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of targeted advertising. 9. Children's privacy
Our general-audience apps are not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in a user's country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
10. International processing
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and handle information in accordance with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our apps, partners, or legal requirements. We will post the updated version on sortonai.com and revise the last-updated date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or store listing where appropriate.
